There is an active Knights of Columbus in our parish, DeSoto Council #327, located at 441 West 49th Street. The Council is active and looking for new members among practicing Catholic men, 18 years of age or older, seeking the spiritual benefits, camaraderie, and community involvement that being a Knight offers. Ash Wednesday: This year Ash Wednesday is Wednesday March 1st and the schedule is as follows: 8:30 AM mass with school kids and imposition of the Ashes 12:10 PM mass with imposition of the Ashes 3:30 PM service with imposition of the Ashes 6:00 PM service with imposition of the Ashes 7:00 PM Spanish mass with imposition of the Ashes.
Thank you to all who attended the exciting mission and evangelization program provided by the Archdiocese of New York called Revive: Faith Every Day, throughout the parish clusters. The three-day program was led by a priest from one of our religious communities that specialize in preaching missions. The English Mission was hosted at Blessed Sacrament Church. The Spanish Mission was hosted at the Church of Sacred Heart of Jesus. We had a great turn out and appreciate all those that came to the mission. A special “Thank You” to Fr. Salcedo from Incarnation Church for preaching the mission in our church.

The Archdiocese of New York will launch an exciting mission and evangelization program called Revive: Faith Every Day, throughout the parish clusters. The three-day program will be led by a preacher Fr. Innocent Smith O.P. that specialize in preaching missions. It will be held on Monday-Wednesday starting at 7pm. Mark your calendars! February's second collection will be for Peter’s Pence, which provides Pope Francis with the funds he needs to carry out his charitable works around the world. The proceeds benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of war, oppression, and disasters. Please be generous. March for Life/Pilgrimage to Washington DC, Friday, January 27, 2017: Join hundreds of thousands gathering from throughout our nation to pray and publicly witness to the sanctity of human life on this anniversary of Roe v. Wade. A bus will leave from in front of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Mass 6:15am/Bus Departs: 7am sharp. Cost for the trip is $50. Saturday, December 24th– Christmas Eve English Holy Mass is at 6:00 PM with great music. Spanish Mass is at 8:00 PM Sunday, December 25th– Christmas Day English Holy Mass is at 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM. Spanish is at 11:00 AM
Reconciliation Monday: December 19th from 4PM – 8PM. All are invited to the Sacrament of Confession, to receive the forgiveness of the Lord and so celebrate Christmas with a new heart.
