Please help the Sisters of Life as they assist young women and their unborn babies by taking a tag or tags from Sacred Heart's giving tree. Each tag lists an item that would benefit a woman or child in need. Items can be returned to be placed under the tree either in a gift bag or unwrapped box with the tag or identifying note attached. All gifts should be placed under the tree by Sunday, December 20th.
This week we come together as a nation to give thanks. Let us be grateful to God for His great goodness in hearing our prayers for the unborn and continue to pray for life, from the moment of conception until natural death.
On the weekend of November 21st-22nd, we will have a second collection for Thanksgiving and Human Development. The Catholic Campaign for Human Development brings Catholic social teaching to life. It funds community and economic development programs across the United States that help poor and marginalized people join together to make decisions, seek solutions to local problems and find ways to improve their lives and neighborhoods. Economic development initiatives help create new businesses and jobs. CCHD also provides educational opportunities for Catholics to learn about poverty, stand in solidarity with those affected by it, and reflect on their own responsibility before the great needs of others.
